About the event

Unschooling, unfortunately, has a bad reputation. When done poorly, kids are essentially truant, unattended to, expected to learn through osmosis and often fall behind same-aged peers not only in knowledge base, but excitement for learning and the lack basic skills sets for thriving in today's society.


But, when done well, as I intend to model in this workshop, "Unschooling" is a life hack where both parents and children are learning, and thriving, far beyond the limits of a traditional school model and preset curriculum.


I aim to show attendees of this workshop how to home educate through child-centered education, without curriculum, workbooks, virtual academies, exhaustive lesson plans that never get done and let life be the curriculum and the world be the classroom. I founded, and operated, a K-5 microschool in Bozeman post the Covid-19 pandemic and brought a slew of kids from below level to on-level or above level…
